Family Ties Photography had become Lovely Lane Photography. Family Ties started with the intentions of creating a magazine for families in the low country. Since that never came to fruition, it didn't make sense to keep it for the photography business. We are now refocusing our attentions on weddings. Lovely Lane is a church my husband I go married in and it is dear to our hearts. It seems appropriate for our new vision for the business.

Jackie & Ryan...Engagement!
We had a great time shooting Jackie and Ryan's engagement pictures over the Christmas Holiday! We went out to Hunting Island State Park near Beaufort, SC. The temperature was freezing, but our laughter and determination kept us warm!
Jackie and Ryan were great sports as we braved the wind, sand burrs, and giddiness brought on by fatique. In the end, I think we got some cute shots and captured some of this couple's easy going spirit.

Creativity-A-Flowin'
Thanks for visiting our blog. I am so excited about photography! If I could spend the whole day taking pictures and experimenting, I would. It is easy when there is so much beauty and magic just waiting to be captured.
For the past 7 years, I have been taking pictures for my magazines. Art Direction is one of my strengths. It comes from being able to envision what I want to accomplish and then feeling out the situation as it actually happens. It seems to be natural for me. I definitely have a passion for it. So, it only makes sense to put my eye (and my mind's eye) to work taking captivating photographs.
My husband is my partner and has been since we met back in school. Together, you won't find a more dedicated, hard-working and passionate team! We call ourselves Family Ties because we believe that the family is the most important part of our world. Whether you are just starting a family, are a growing family, or have already raised a family, nothing matters more on earth. Your family is your greatest accomplishment.

Sweet Boy
I love this picture. Can't you just feel the warmth of the sun? There is a peace about the country. It brings about longings for simpler times. I remember running through fields as a little girl and feeling so free.
